I could go the whole morning reading the paper, tuning out Kate's noisy sporting events she enjoys watching on television and listening to KHSU if it wasn't for the cackling and over-the-top advice from Click & Clack, The Tappet Brothers on Car Talk at 10am. The set-ups seem forced and the guffaws wear me thin within minutes. Hey, good solid auto repair advice, but could they do it without the nerve-wracking chortles. "You say you have a 1993 Volkswagen Rabbit with a leaky gas line? Well, my brother is a 1943 Weasel with the same leaky gas problem....BUUHHHHAAAAA HAAAAA HAAAAAA HAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!! I prefer the straight forwardness of Ron Ananian, The Car Doctor found on KWSW 790am.

...Meh...

Really? It might be safe to say you are in the minority with this opinion.
This is the first time I have ever heard a peep of criticism about these guys.
Has their brand of on-air antics grown stale. NPR does not think so yet.
Well, it just goes to show. A peep of criticism may just well turn into a tide of dissent which will lead to a mass of community outrage and a storming of the Click/Clack Palace.
Or, perhaps it's an NPR show for owners of bumper sticker riddled Subarus and I just don't get it.

So... what do you know about Necco Wafers? (wink~wink)
"Fine candies since 1847" Nuff said.
Necco candies are a great when served after a meal of Bread in a can and Nacho Cheese, or so I have heard.
Really? We hadn't heard that! Kate...stock up on Necco Wafers!!!
Want some cheese with that wine?
You shouldn't upset the car gods like this, 'less you want to be blessed with a transmission failure while driving down the safety corridor during rush hour!
Dear Anonymous 2:40...I believe you meant "lest" you want to be blessed...otherwise I agree entirely. --Kate
Dear Kate,
I do believe you are right. Clearly you are wise beyond your (I'm guessing 21) years...
What was even worse than Car Talk on the radio was Car Talk on PBS! omg, It was embarrassing. Car Talk is old and feels that way, hard to listen to it anymore.
