Cherrio!

On a recent shopping excursion, we became mesmorized by the packaging of the huge, evil conglomorate sugar-laden cereals aimed presumably at children. We just can't get over the identical wide-mouthed smiles portrayed by the corporate pitchmen featured here.  These are not from just one company.  The Big-3 all used this technique of the wide, open-mouthed happy expression.

Then we noticed the Nature's Path EnviroKidz brands featured their own rendition of spokesmodels.  There's Pouty Puffin, Pensive Panda, Gloomy Gorilla and Morose Marsupial.  Call us brainwashed children of 1960's Saturday morning television, but we prefer the happy cereals over the dour breakfast foods for our kids....if we had any.

I miss Sugar Smacks! I look back now and think that the Cereal Manufacturing Companies wanted kids addicted to sugar. I mean, look at those whacked out characters smiling so wildly. They were so high!
Sonny was the highest, look at his ears. Well, the frog from Sugar Smacks might give him a run for his money.

I'm guessing you smoked some medicine before the store run? I remember a similar mesmorization back in my days of medicine smoking.
